In honor of...

As usual, my family had to do without me for Thanksgiving dinner. What they missed the most, I'm sure, is my possesiveness over the coveted squash casserole. Every year I fight over the largest helping with my Uncle Wes, and try to position the dish close to my seat at the table for optimum scooping opportunities. In any case, this is how my family chose to honor me and mark my absence on Thanksgiving:

For the record, I detest that photo. Which is probably why they chose to use it. Tonight I'm making three cheese baked ziti, using a recipe my brothers tried out this summer. If I can't make it as well as they did I'll be humiliated. Of course I'll be making it on significantly less sleep, therefore with less brainpower. Eight hours of sleep in 48 hours is not a good ratio.

I'll leave you with this, today's comic from my favorite webcomic ever: www.marriedtothesea.com. I particularly appreciate this one.

Hopefully your pasta will provide you with some good brain energy power, even if you mess it up becuase your brain is alread mush!

I hate hate hate not getting enough sleep. What is even the point?

Also, Joe has been begging me to make baked ziti, but I don't have a good recipe in my repertoire. Send please!
